Today about 4 am there were shouts heard of fire in Powai Rambaug.
Two shops, one of a tailor and snacks were burnt to ashes. It seems that some shop keepers were sleeping inside when they smelt smoke.
Some active Police from just opposite Powai Police Station at rambaug alerted the fire brigade.
Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot with ambulance and men in action and immediately put of the fire, thus stopping the spread to other shops and the chawl behind.
Morning 4.30 am it was a assuring sight to see these Fire Men active and alert when Mumbai slept. We should thank these alert force to keep the city safe.
