The Powai police on Thursday arrested four members of a gang that allegedly duped hundreds of students preparing for civil service and management exams and entrance exams for higher studies abroad.
The gang, which operated Climb First Education coaching classes in Powai Plaza, advertised via phone and social networking sites. The police said once students enrolled in the classes, they were coached in banking-related subjects, and not what was promised.
