The Young Environmentalists Programme trust and Rodasgreen team is organizing an Environmental Essay Writing, photography competition and exhibition on Wetlands on January 31, inPowai.
As World Wetlands day 2013 approaches on February 2nd, Rodas Greenteam, Young Environmentalists Programme trust and Dr Caesar Sengupta. Internationally renowned wildlife photographer would like to invite citizens, wildlife enthusiasts,photographers, college/school students to celebrate the World Wetlands Day 2013.
Informs Elsie Gabriel, founder of the Young Environmentalists who is an avid world traveller and photographer herself, “Students can participate in an essay writing competition on the topic – “The importance of Wetlands with reference to our Mumbai city.”
Imminent judges and environmentalists will correct the papers and the results will be announced on February 10, where the first three winners will be felicitated .
There will also be an exhibition and prize for best photos that day itself,on wetlands/mangroves and its related subjects. The best three will be awarded. Each photo should have the caption, location, name and contact at the back of the photo.
