Actress and designer Bhagyashree could still pass off as the same PYT – pretty, young, thing, she was almost three decades ago. That infectious smile and that vulnerable innocence are still intact even after all these years.
The actress was present at an event at Meluha the Fern Ecotel, Powai, to promote and encourage clay Ganpati idols. Elsie Gabriel, founder of the NGO Young Environmentalists Programme Trust that spearheaded the program, says that there are artisans that make biodegradable idols in Sangli since the last hundreds of years.
A princess in real life, Bhagyashree has had a rich life culturally as well. Her father was the former Maharaja of Sangli. She learnt Sanskrit from her father and was also taught how to worship Ganesha idols. The actress is passionate when it comes to a good social cause.
