Pran passes away

Veteran Bollywood actor Pran aka Pran Nath Sikand passed away around 9.30 PM today 12 July 2013, as said on Times Now. He was addmitted to Lilawati Hospital, after his condition became serious.

The 93-year-old actor was given the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest honour in Indian cinema, on May 10 in Mumbai.

Because of his poor health, Pran visit Delhi to the 60th National Film Awards ceremony in May.

Pran has acted in over 400 movies. His career spanning over six decades and played a vast range of roles – from a hero to a villain to a character artiste.
He has a villain was so hated that people stoped naming their children Pran.

The evolution from Villain to Charater artist came about after he was offered a positive role by Manoj Kumar.
