The volunteers of Think Beyond, have been conducting Powai Peace Walk since 2009, to commemorate the martyrs of the Terror Attack of 26/11/2008 & to celebrate the peace that prevailed after our peacekeepers overcame the terrorists. Through this event, they have been providing the NGOs, a platform to showcase their efforts, mobilize resources for the lesser privileged and thus bridge gaps in the society.
Over last one year, with increasing incidents of crime against women, they have realized the need for making women aware about how to protect themselves. They have been distributing pamphlets during the Navratri and also at the Hiranandani Hospital’s Walk For Life to create awareness about a mobile Android application VithU which helps the near and dear ones to know ones’ location in case of danger.
As part of their Annual Peace Event, Think Beyond in association with IBS Business School, with the objective to further the awareness, have invited the DCP Dr. Mohan Dahikar to address an open seminar for the women – housewives and corporate professionals alike – in & around Powai. This seminar will also have an interaction with persons from different walks of life who will apprise the participants about the rights and responsibilities of women and self-defense techniques.
