Kareena and Ranbir to star together

KAREENA Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen next in Zoya Akhtar’s yet to be named film, reports Imdb.com.
The film will centre on the relationship between a brother (played by Ranbir) and a sister (played by Kareena). Hrithik will play Kareena’s love interest while Katrina will play Ranbir’s love interest.

And since the latter pair have actually dated in real life, the audience will get to see some real chemistry in the film.

As Kareena and Ranbir are real life cousins, they are expected to shine in their characters. Kareena and Hrithik have starred in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and were last seen together in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003). Katrina and Ranbir, on the other hand, have acted together in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini and Raajneeti.

“Both Kareena and Ranbir are excited about the project,” said a source. Shooting is expected to start this year.

The actor was said to have joked about the stitches on his face, saying that it makes him “even more in character for Gunday”. Ranveer sports a rugged look in the film. Earlier in the year, he also got hurt while shooting Lootera.

“I think it is the beginning of a lot of ambitious films that I will be doing”, said John who is collaborating with director Shoojit Sircar again on this film. “I am making this film with a very modest budget and that is making everyone happy. I know how to control costs and still deliver a super product with great aesthetics. Vicky Donor was the right step which made me sure of what I was doing.”

First shooting for Vijay film completed

THE first scheduled shooting for A.L. Vijay’s yet to be titled film, starring Vijay and Amala Paul, has been completed. The cast and crew are on a break until the second schedule resumes. Word has it that the director has gone to Spain to identify locations to shoot some scenes there. When he returns to India, shooting will resume on Jan 9 in Mumbai, reports KollyInsider.com.

The second schedule will see 30 days of continuous filming. GV Prakash scores the music for this film.

Multi-talented Trisha

AFTER carving her name in both Kollywood and Tollywood, Trisha will try her luck in the Kannada film industry, popularly known as Sandalwood, next year, reports Zoresebol.com.

She has already signed on a film there titled Rum, short for Rambha, Urvasi and Menakha. Trisha will play Rambha, one of the three heroines.

Now, she only has to enter the Malayalam film industry to prove that she’s a good actress. “I have heard of some interesting Malayalam scripts. But I was unable to accept them due to filming schedules,” she said, adding that she would like to be part of a Malayalam project.

Trisha played the role of a Malayalee girl in Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, the hit film starring Simbhu in the lead. In her next film, Boologam, she will again play a girl from Kerala. Jayam Ravi will star opposite her in this film.

Love blooms for Samantha

UPCOMING Kollywood actress Samantha, who plays the lead in the much hyped Neethane En Ponvasantham, has confessed that she is in a relationship, reports BehindWoods.com. However, she’s not telling who’s the love of her life.

“I have to get his permission before I reveal his name. He should be comfortable when I talk about our relationship,” she said.

However, she said there are no plans for marriage yet. “It will be beautiful to get married. But I am enjoying life now,” she said.

Samantha will next be in a yet to be named film by Lingusamy, starring Surya. She will also be seen in some Tollywood films.
