New Delhi: The 16th edition of Indian Institute of Technology’s (IIT), Bomaby Techfest, which is a three-day annual technological festival is going to start from today and will feature robots, software exhibition and much more.
This time, from challenging competitions to lectures by noted luminaries, from workshops to fun-filled O-zone, Techfest 2013 will have everything to conquer one’s imagination. With more than 150 events spread over the 3-days and total prize money of over 17 lakhs, Techfest is set to offer the best to all its participants as well as the visitors.
IIT-Bomaby students have also launched an initiave this year called ‘give a coin’, which will support children’s adoption financially. Apart from the same list of competitions and events such as machine wars and car races, the ‘give-a-coin’ initiative will help spread awareness on child adoption.
Another initiave which will be launched this time by students is ‘Ideate’, which will bring ideas from across the country for technology development in rural areas.
According to organisers, like its previous editions, the festival will have numerous new technologies on display from all over the world along with guest speakers from India and abroad who will share their experiences and insights into their field of expertise with students.
