Maharashtra Sahitya Academy felicitated and awarded Hindi Writers on 14th September 2012 . Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari and Veteran Hindi Writer Jagdamba Prasad Diksit were awarded Rs. 1,00,000/- as ” Akhil Bharatiya Hindi Seva Puraskar. ”
”Rajya Stree Hindi Sevi Samman ” of Rs 50,000/- was awarded to Eight Writers which had Four women writers – Suryabala , Achala Nagar , Leena Mehendale and Sudha Arora . The awards were given by Cultural Minister of Maharashtra Sanjay Deotale and Minister of State in Govt. of Maharashtra and Member of Legislative Council Dr. Fauzia Khan and Dr. Damodar Khadse. The Maharashtra Academy chief Dr. Damodar Khadse announced two new Fellowships on the name of renowned Hindi Writers Dr. Dharmvir Bharati and Kamleshwar. The Award function was held in Indian Merchants Chamber on 14th September 2012 in a packed Hall with eminent writers, poets and professors of Hindi , Urdu and Marathi .
