After reports that an advocate from Kanpur filed a case against the makers of the film, comes the news that a talking standee of Aamir Khan’s PK was removed from a theatre after a complaint.
According to a leading newspaper, the standee had to be removed after a group of women filed a complaint with the police claiming it was too ‘obscene’ to be displayed in public.
The theatre in question is reportedly Gaiety-Galaxy whose owner Manoj Desai confirmed the development. Desai reportedly obliged not wanting the situation to get out of hand.
While the initial report lead to a case being filed under section 292 of the IPC, for obscenity, according to reports, more details on the present complaint are yet to emerge.
