Mr Ramesh Prabhu today said that he was not impressed by Government’s Mhada Redevelopment policy.
He felt people should not expect any movement on this front soon. He also answered questions of society members He advised that societies should not be in a hurry to sign deals with builders before Maharashtra Government came out with final draft of redevelopment As it was quiet possible that the builder will latter misuse trust of the society depending on new laws.
The function was organised by mr Ishwar Tayde the Municipal Councillor from Chandivali. Mhada Societies were very eager to know of the new property tax structure announced by BMC.
But looking at what took Maharashtra Chief Minister take such a long time to formulate laws on Mhada colony redevelopment we should belive that he would have better interest of people in mind. Even in the face of pressure of builder lobby he prefers Mhada getting flats instead of fees as these flats can be sold by Mhada to the needy at reasonable rates. So lets wait and watch till the new GR is brought out. All the Best.
